reduction prints are created in a destructive manner. you use one block for multiple layers, where each layer you carve and print builds up the image, you typical work from the lightest to the darkest shades. I typically have 10-15 layers on a finished reduction print, this allows me to add lots of colours and textures to the finished piece.
